CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Zero to 3 - Who needs care and prayer more than the little ones who are most dependent? So while you enjoy your worship experience, your babies in Christ are in tender, loving hands. We also have a Crying Room located off of the nursery where you can sit with your child and still see and [hopefully] hear :-) everything going on in the sanctuary.

We also have a team of adults dedicated to caring for toddlers. Our toddlers, ages 2 to 3, spend their Sunday mornings learning about Jesus through music, crafts, and a new lesson every Sunday using approved Sunday School curriculum. It's a lot of fun and there's always time scheduled for a snack!

Kids of the Kingdom is a class created especially for children ages 4 through 2nd grade to attend while adults enjoy our pastor's Sunday morning sermon.  Our children's workers are experienced and trustworthy servants who enjoy sharing the Word of God in a fun and exciting way that children can understand and embrace. Old and New Testament stories are combined with music and crafts to bring the Living Word...well... Alive! Our prayer is that your children will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior as well as their very best friend.

Centurions serves children from grades four through seven at Community of Faith and exists to provide a nurturing, safe, and fairly structured environment in the teaching of biblical truths. Those who teach Centurions realize these children sit in a classroom for the majority of their week, and so while we strive to offer these enriching lessons, we make sure to keep it interesting and fun to learn about Jesus!

YOUTH GROUP

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

- 2 Corinthians 3:18

Our youth ministry goes by the name of Unveiled Faces.

Unveiled Faces is about a lot of things:

It’s about building strong friendships. We value creating depth in relationships, moving beyond the shallow connections that lead to loneliness.

It’s about having fun! We enjoy hiking, concerts, all-night parties and much more, especially big youth events.

It’s about real transformation. We know the Bible is vital so we talk about how to apply it in our everyday lives.

It’s about serving. To name just a few of the ways we put our faith into action, we assist with the music, children’s ministries, visitation ministries, as well as take mission trips to serve the less fortunate.

Worship Ministry

While we don't have any beautifully haunting organ pipes to wake you up on Sunday morning, we do have a pretty lively worship team. As our Worship Leader, Rebecca has anchored the music at Community of Faith since day one with her vocals and piano/keyboard-playing. But she will be the first one to tell you that there's something special about singing and playing for Jesus with other believers, and she has put together a team of wonderful instrumentalists and singers to join her in leading the congregation in an appropriate set of contemporary worship songs and occasional faith-bolstering hymns that can't be forgotten.

Additionally, our Tech Team is always looking for more computer savvy servants to join up and assist with a plethora of opportunities that come up throughout the year.

We would love to have you serve with us as we worship God through Worship, Arts, and Technology. If you are interested in being a part of our team, please contact us today!

Local & Global Mission

Some mission trips we embark on are those set up through the Brethren In Christ World Missions ministry.  Members of our congregation have been blessed to serve in other countries such as Guatemala and Honduras, and we support families serving over seas in far away places like England and Spain.

That being said, we know that there is mission work to be done in our own country, our own state, our own city, our own town... our own backyard.

Our plan? Go where God leads... even to the ends of the Earth.

BIBLE STUDY

We believe in the Holy Bible. It is about God and Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us understand it. It is Truth, cover-to-cover.

We have Bible study opportunities going on all throughout the year. The types and themes of studies vary, but most usually meet once a week for about 8 weeks. You can always find one to get plugged into that is right for where you are in your walk.

We also have members who participate in other local Bible studies with members from other churches, such as Community Bible Study and Bible Study Fellowship. If you are interested in learning more about how to get involved in one of these programs, feel free to contact the church office.
